Good morning, friends! I just have a really simple card today. This one had been rumbling around in my head for a while. It is quick and would be perfect for that special someone in your life that might be going through a tough time.
Hello! Who remembers getting a sugar egg for Easter. I sure do and I always marveled at how they could get the little scene in it. Today, I have a card that re-creates those sugar eggs of past. I am using a few new products from the Trinity Stamps release earlier this month.
To make this card, I went at it the same way I would if I were making a shaker card. I wanted all the dimension without adding the shaker embellishments. I lined my the dies from the Sugar Egg Builder Die Set, using the second largest egg shape, on a piece of 110lb cardstock. Once I had the placement of the dies, where I needed them to be, I used some mint tape to hold them together and then I cut out a total of eight pieces to create a well. VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure before you take apart your dies that you also cut out a piece of cardstock that will be the front of your egg. In my card, it was a piece of shimmer pink card stock.
With all my pieces cut out, I glued them all together finishing with my pink cardstock on top.
I used the frosting stamp from the Sugar Egg Builder Stamp set to stamp and heat emboss the design with clear embossing powder. I added a little bit of shading using a light blue maker to help give the design a little depth. Once I had my shading done, I used the dies from the Sugar Egg Builder Die set to cut out my frosting and glued to the front of my egg.
For the "inside" of my scene, I used the largest egg shaped die from the Sugar Egg Builder Set to cut it from a light blue shimmer paper. I added a little Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Ink to dust a little color at the bottom of the egg to make it appear like water.
I used the Egg Shaped Card Die to cut out the base of my card from a light blue cardstock. I used the largest of the egg shapes from the Sugar Egg Builder Die Set to cut out the shape from some patterned paper. I glued those pieces together topping it off with my empty sugar egg scene.
I used Copic markers to color in the scene in the following colors:
C00,
C0, C1 - Swan
Y000,
T13 - Beaks
E08,
E57 - Cattails
YG01,
YG25, YG17 - Reeds
BG0000,
B0000 B000, B00, BG18 - Water
I used the die to cut out my little scene and then applied 2mm foam dots to the back of the piece and placed it inside my scene.
I applied a wide double sided adhesive to the back of a piece of vellum and used the bow from the Holiday Wreath Circle Card Add On Die Set. Vellum doesn't play well with adhesives, meaning that they usually show through. I work around this my applying adhesive to the whole piece and the parts that don't actually adhere to the card, are dusted with embossing powder so that they don't stick where I don't want them to. To see how I do this, you can watch my process video which is linked down below.
The Easter Blessing sentiment on the front of the card was heat embossed with gold embossing powder and then trimmed to fit the front of the card.
For the inside of my card, I cut out a piece of white cardstock using the second largest egg shape from the Sugar Egg Builder Die Set. I created my sentiment for the inside of my card using the Simply Sentimental-Easter Stamp Set.
If you would like a more detailed description on how I created this card, I have linked my YouTube video below.
I love how this card turned out - it just hits all those memories.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope this blog is inspiring you to create a smile one card at a time.
Hello...Hello! Today I have a couple of my favorites from Trinity Stamps. I am still loving the new Sugar Egg Builder Die Set andStamp Set. Of course, it goes without saying, that I love all the Trinity Gnomes. This one just happens to be Gnome Bunny. I have used both the stamp and the die set for this card.
I created the base of this card using the Egg Shaped Card Die Set with a piece of dark pink shimmer card stock. I cut an egg from patterned paper using the largest egg shape from the Sugar Egg Builder Die Set. I also cut out another egg with the smaller egg shape from that same set. Once I have those layered together, I used the smallest of the frosting dies, to cut out the middle of the card. I have my process YouTube Video attached at the bottom of this post so you can see exactly how I got it lined up and cut.
I stamped the frosting ring using VersaMark Watermark Ink and clear embossing powder. I used both of the frosting die pieces to cut it out.
To add a little more dimension to my frosting, I used my Copic BG0000 marker to add a little shading to the bottom of each frosting leaf. I glued my completed frosting ring to the front of my card.
For the inside of my card, I cut out an egg using the largest egg shape from the die. I placed in on my Crafty Companion Reusable Grip Pad and started to ink blend my background. Using a Shading Sidekick Blending Brush and a mixture of Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink, I inked in my grassy layer. Using the Puffy Cloud Layers Stencil, I inked in my clouds using my Blending Buddy with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.
I colored my little friend and his eggs using Copic Markers in the following colors:
RV00,
RV32, RV34, R83 - Pinks
Y32,
Y17, YR14 - Oranges
Y00,
Y11, Y13, Y15 - Yellows
BG10,
BG11, BG13 - Blue-green
E31,
E33, E34 - Shoes
BG70,
BG90 - Beard
Using the front window of my card as a guide, I place the gnome, his eggs and little chick friend where I wanted them and then glued them down.
I glued the sentiment wording on the front of the card balancing it out with an egg from the Gnome Bunny Stamp Set. I didn't put a sentiment on the inside of the card because I didn't want it peeking out through the front sugar egg window. I figured the card could be signed on the grassy area under the gnome or a message could be written on the back of the card.
I am very happy with the way this card turned out and I hope that you have been inspired to create a scene using a stamp in your own sugar egg.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!
Hi friends!I am on the blog over at Emily Moore Designs in addition to a new YouTube Video showing the process behind this beautiful note card.
The moth on this card is from the Make A Moth: Lorelai Die Set. I just love making these moths. There are so many different ways to decorate their wings especially if you combine the sets. I also like that you can use the little bits and pieces as embellishments.
For this beautiful moth, I used Turquoise, Periwinkle, Lilac and Stippled Silver Matte Foil Cardstock. You can purchase this paper at 12x12 Cardstock Shop
I applied double sided 4" x 6" adhesive sheets to the back of the cardstock. This is my favorite way to adhere all these little pieces together. It is not only easier, but it is neater
especially when you are working on foil.
When I’m die cutting the pieces, I like to peel off the back
tape and place my little pieces on a sheet of heat-resistant Teflon. This is really helpful when you need to use
the same die multiple times.
Now you get to put your moth together.
The body and the wings definitely have only one way to go on, but the
decoration on the wings is entirely up to you! This is the fun part - the creative opportunities are endless!
For the bottom layer of my card, I cut a piece of gray
cardstock, 4.25” x 5.5” . I also cut a piece of black shimmer cardstock to 4.0”
x 5.25”.I rounded my corners so that
everything looks cohesive.I glued those
two pieces together.
I used the largest background die from the Decorative
Sentiment Die to cut out a piece of green shimmer cardstock.
For the sentiment on this card, I used the “Hey” from the Hi,
Hey, Hello Word Dies – Big and Bold. For the shadow on the word, I used a black shimmer cardstock. The scripty lettering was cut from the silver
matte foil.
Next, I removed the back of the adhesive tape, put a little
glue on the back of the moth and place it on the green shimmer cardstock. The reason I am putting liquid glue on the
top of the adhesive because it gives me a little barrier so I can move the
piece around until I have it exactly where I want it.
I always like to pop up something on my cards if I can – I
think it always adds a nice little touch.I use Crafty
Foam Tape to pop up the layer with the moth on it.
To finish up this card, I attach it to a card base. To make the card base, I cut a piece of white
cardstock to 5.5” x 8.5”. I scored it at
4.25” and folded it in half.
This was such a quick card to make, I decided to make
another one since my supplies were already on my table.
Thank you for spending a little time with me and I hope you
have been inspired to make a card guaranteed to put a smile on someone’s face.

Hello friends! Today I am participating in a Trinity Stamps YouTube Hop celebrating Craft Roulette's 6th Anniversary. Six years - Wow! Congratulations to Mary Funn Gunn and Craft Roulette.
This parameters for this week are:
Project - Tri-fold Card
Colors - Garden
Element - Nursery
Random - Star(s) or Starry
I didn't have a lot of baby to pull from, but luckily the January release had a couple of baby themed stamps in the Nugs & Kisses Stamp Set. There is also a coordinating die set.
I used Copic markers to color in my little nugget family in the following colors:
Y08,
Y19, YR23 - Cheese Sauce
Y26,
YR23, YR24 - Nuggets
R14,
R27, R39 - Heart
The base of my card was cut to 8.5" x 5.5". I scored it at 2.24", folded the 2" in and then butted the folded edge up to the left side of my Score Buddy. I scored it again at 4.25" and folded the left side into the middle of the card.
I also used the stamp for the sentiment for the inside of the card. The panels for the inside of the cards are cut to 4.0" x 5.25" and 3.75" x 5.0".
I used the Simply Sentimental: Baby Stamp Set and the 5-Star Rating Stamp Set to make my own "patterned" paper for the front of the card. Instead of using a colored embossing powder, I used a clear powder, which gave me the tone on tone.
I cut the cardstock pieces for the side panels at; 2.0" x 5.25", 1.75" x 5.0" and 1.5" x 4.75". Once they were cut, I glued the layers together.
The medallion in the center of the belly band was cut using the Emergency Card Essentials #1. I used that die set to cut out the center piece and the trim on the band. I used the 5-Star Rating Stamp Set to stamp the stars on the band. They were also heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Oh my goodness, this card turned out so stinking cute! It is such a break from the more traditional new baby card don't you think?
Happy Anniversary to Craft Roulette and I look forward to many more challenges is the future!
Hi there! This card is featured on the Crafty Stamp Instagram Hop today. Of the cards I made for this release, this one was my favorite. I love everything about this card, from the adorable Highland Cow to the colors of the patterned paper. I may just have to keep this one.
For this card, I used the new Hielan Coos Stamp Set and the new Summer Lemon and Daises 6x6 Patterned Paper.
I had colored both of the "Coos" but found that it make the card too cluttered in the center, so I just went with one, which really made it the focal point of the card.
I colored my little friend with Copic markers in the following colors:
YR21,
YR23, YR24 - Body
YR30,
E50, E51, E30, E31 -Head
E41,
E81 - Horns
E13,
E25 - Hooves
R01,
R11 - Ears
For the background of this card, I shopped my stash and found a few dies that would tie the whole card together.
I used a sentiment from the stamp set to finish up this card.
Jump on over to the Crafty Stamp Co shop and make sure you get both the stamp set and the patterned paper, you won't be disappointed.
Hello and happy Saturday. Today I have an extra special card to share with you. This card is the final card of Crafty Stamp Co's Inspiration Week.
The stamp that I used to create this card is called, Positive Tate- Neuro Sparkle and the colorful paper is from the new Perfect Piece 6x6 Patterned Paper Pack.
Crafty Stamp Co created this stamp and patterned paper in support of Autism Awareness Month in April. They are donating 100% of the profits from this stamp set to the Autism Research Institute as part of their commitment to kindness, awareness, and community.
I used Copic markers to color in Tate in the following colors:
E21,
E34, E13, E25 - Tate
YR16,
YR07 - Orange
Y00,
Y08 - Yellow
B02,
B04 - Blue
R14,
R29 - Red
I think I like the small sentiment at the bottom of the card the most. It says so much.
I hope this fun and colorful card has inspired you to create a card of your own.
Hello! Today I have another card from the new Crafty Stamp Co. release. This card was such a joy to make and I just love it. It is the size of an A-2 card but it is kind of a drop down card.
This stamp set is called Bees and Honey. I colored my images to coordinate with the new 6x6 patterned paper called Buzy Bees.
My honey jar and little bears are colored with the following Copic colors:
E50,
W51, E31, E23, E57 - Bears
Y21,
YR24, YR18 - Honey
BG10,
BG13, BG57 - Jar Cloth, Outfits
B0000
- Wing Highlights
T0,
T1, T2, T4 - Outfits
The sentiment is included in the stamp set. I stamped it on white cardstock and then trimmed it out with a little of the patterned paper.
I love everything about this card.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!
How about a card with a little gift enclosed? This card is my entry for the current Craft Roulette Challenge. I liked all the parameters, but did struggle a bit with the one that included a bookmark. I created a little pocket on the front of the card, but liked the card much better with it placed it inside of the card. What do you think?
Who doesn't occasionally need a get well card? Well...this shaker card just might put a smile on someone's face that might be a bit under the weather. This is inspiration week over at Crafty Stamp Co. and this adorable set is being featured today.
This stamp set is called Froggy Quotes and while there are some great new paper packs, I wanted to ink blend my own. For this background, I have Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon and Uncharted Mariner. I also used these colors for the water in the pond.
I shopped my stash to find just the right bayou type die to set the scene. With just a little foam tape I was able to create a small "well" for my little shaker pieces.
All my little friends were colored with Copic markers in the following colors:
G82,
YG63 - Frogs
YG93,
YG95, YG97 -Lily Pad
Y23,
RV55 - Flowers, Dragon Fly, Butterfly
Y08,
Y13 - Fireflies
The sentiment is included with the stamp set which makes it so easy to complete your card whether it is on the outside or inside of the card. Mine is stamped on white cardstock and then I took a Copic marker and dragged it along the outside edges just to put the slightest amount of color on it.
This is really a fun stamp set which includes not only the lily pads, but a crown if you want to make one a prince. How cute!
Oh my! This poor little fellow has a big crack! I'm glad he is okay though!
This silly card was made with the new Egg Shaped Card Die Set by Trinity Stamps. This has been such a fun and versatile die set. I have used it close to a half a dozen times already.
To make this card, I cut out two of the large egg dies in the set. I dusted the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. I also spritzed the outer shell with the same color of Distress Spritz which gives it a little shimmer. I used the die to cut the outer egg in two pieces. Before you go any further, stamp the sentiment on the upper shell using the Egg-ceptional Sentiments Stamp Set. Once I had my yolk built and placed, I glued the bottom of the outer egg on top.
I punched a little hole where the two shells meet and inserted a small white brad so that my shell moves up and down.
I cut a piece of patterned paper at 4.0" x 5.25" and glued it on a piece of cardstock cut to 5.5" x 4.25". Although it is hard to tell from the picture, I popped up my friend using 1mm tape just to give it a tiny bit of dimension.
Oh that Positive Tate - he definitely has a bit of Spring Fever. Isn't this little guy byCrafty Stamp Co., just the cutest??? It looks like he is getting ready for the Easter bunny.
This stamp set is called Positive Tate - A Little Eggstra. He is highlighted on a piece of patterned paper from the new 6x6 Paper Pack called, Summer Lemon and Daisies. Both the stamp set and the paper pack are part of the new release which became available on March 1st.
I colored Tate along with his carrots and Easter basket with Copic markers in the following colors:
E21,
E34, E13, E25 - Tate
Y26,
YR23, YR24 - Wagon
YR21,
YR15, YR18, G21, YG63, G94 - Carrots
Y00,
Y04, Y06 - Yellow
RV21,
RV13 - Pink
BG10,
BG11 - Egg
I popped him up and an egg cut out on top of a piece of pearlescent vellum.
The sentiment is part of the stamps set. I stamped it on white cardstock with black Memento ink and trimmed it out with a little cardstock.
This is such a happy card but how could it not be with Positive-Tate taking center stage.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing one.
It's a new month and a new Anatomically Adorable Stamp and Die Set by Trinity Stamps! This one is called No Brainer. If you are Craft Roulette follower, this is the set for you - it actually has a sentiment that says "Kiss Your Brain". I will probably do another one or two cards from this set, so I may incorporate that sentiment in the next one. However, nothing comes between me and my "Brain Fuel" every morning.
For this card, I wanted a little bit of shimmer so I decided to use the Starfield Letterpress with Teal Glimmer Foil on a light turquoise cardstock to use as base of my cup. I combined the latte die pieces from both the Take Out Coffee Cup Shaped Die Set and the Coffee On The Go Die Set to create the shaker well. I taped the two pieces together and used this combined piece to cut out seven pieces from 110lb white cardstock. I glued them together and used a Copic maker to color in the sides on the outside and the inside so that they match the cardstock that I used for the card base. Before I took the dies apart, I used them to cut the shape from the foiled cardstock. I used the inside piece as the background for the inside of my shaker.
To make sure the top of the cup was the same height as the bottom, I cut the top using the die from the Take Out Coffee Cup Shaped Die Set eight times from the scrap 110lb cardstock and glued them together. One of the great things about this die set is that it comes with a stencil to shade the cup top. I used the stencil on white cardstock and shaded with the ink left in my Shading Sidekick Blending Brush. Once I got all my pieces glued together, I glued them to the front of the card that I had cut out. Before I sealed the card with a piece of acetate, I sprinkled in the embellishments. The shaker pieces are a shop exclusive called Limited Edition Coffee Themed Mix.
Once it was sealed up, I glued the foiled cardstock and the ink shaded top to the top of may card. I used the die to cut out the label and circle from patterned paper.
I colored my brain, (ha! ha! - that sounds funny),with Copic markers in; R81, RV91, RV32.
I used the Graham Cracker Alphabet Die Set to cut my lettering for the sentiment. I used two colors of cardstock to create a shadow on the letters to help them stand out a little better on the acetate.
For the inside of the card, I used the dies to cut out white cardstock to "beef" up the back of the card and give me a nice area for the sentiment. I used the Supporting Script Sentiments to stamp in the sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you jump on over to the Trinity Stamps shop and grab one of these Anatomically Adorable sets for yourself.
Hello and happy March! It is inspiration week over at Crafty Stamp Co. Today I am sharing one of my favorite young ladies...Meadow. This adorable Meadow and her little buzzy friends are from the Buzzy Bee Meadow Stamp Set. I have also used the new Buzzy Bees 6x6 Paper Pack to add that fun spring feel.
I used Copic markers to color Meadow and her buzzin' pals in the following colors:
Y21,
YR24, YR18 - Hair
E0000,
E000, E00, E11 - Skin
B0000-
Wings
B41,
B52 - Dress Skirt
Y00,
Y11, Y13 - Dress Top
T0,
T1, T2, T4, T6 - Bees
I shopped my stash to find a find a hexagon die that would tie the whole project together.
The sentiment is included in the stamp set and is just perfect for this card.
This is one of my favorite versions of Meadow and there are quite a few - she is definitely the girl out about town. You might want to check her out on the Crafty Stamp Co website.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope it is an amazing one!
