Sweet November Stamps Love Letters Postcard

Hello friends!  We are finally coming to the end of January - gosh this seems like such a long month.  Today I have a little Valentines Postcard that I created with a couple of the Love Letters digital stamps from Sweet November Stamps.  Digital stamps are my favorite ones to work with.  The ability to arrange and resize them opens so many doors for fun creative designs.

For this card, I have used, Olivia and Maddie for this card.   I knew that I wanted to make a postcard with these two little friends, but I wasn't sure how to go about doing the background without filing in the whole card.  I am still not very confident with my background coloring, so I came up with a fix, that played into the Valentine theme.

Once, I arranged, sized and printed my postcard, I used a piece of masking tape cut with a heart die to mask off my little friends.  I used the Copic Airbrush System to color in the postcard with my RV21 Copic Marker.

I used Copic markers in the following colors;

  • E31, YG61, G24 - Grassy Ground
  • B0000, B000, B41 - Sky
  • E000, E00, E11, E04, R11 - Skin
  • E50, Y15, Y26, YR23 - Blonde Hair
  • Y21, YR23, YR24, YR27 - Auburn-ish Hair
  • RV63, RV66, V06 - Violet Dress
  • RV10, RV13, RV14 - Bright Pink Sweater Jacket
  • RV00, RV21, RV23 - Pink Sweater
  • N1, N3, N5 - Mailbox
  • E31, E35, E37 - Mailbox Post

Once the card was colored, I thought that the background was little bland, so I used a stencil with small hearts to add to the background.  I, also used the Year Round Post Marks to add a little more interest to the background.

I have been asked by several people to watch me color, so I have posted a video of me coloring these little girls.  I wouldn't consider myself a colorist but I think that my coloring improve a little bit every time I do it.  If you would like to follow along with my process, I have linked my YouTube Video below.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a great day.

Aorta Say

Hey there guys!  Did you know that Trinity Stamps has a anatomically adorable stamp and coordinating die that is free with a $50 purchase.  This one is called Aorta Say.

For the background on this card, I used a piece of lined patterned paper cut to 5.25" x 4.0".  I used the lines on the paper to draw in a heartbeat.  I first sketched it in with pencil and then used a permanent marker and ruler to draw it in.

I dusted the edges of the patterned paper with a little Salvaged Patina and then spattered it with a little watered down white acrylic.

I used Copic markers in the following colors for my little friend:

  • B14, B16, B18
  • R14, R27, R39

The sentiment on this card comes with the stamp set.  There are several to choose from so I kept with the heart theme.  I used Versa Fine Onyx ink to stamp the sentiment directly on the patterned paper.

I glued my patterned paper to a piece of cardstock to give it a nice border.  I added a little glitz by using the new Ruby Heart Sparkle Confetti and Celeste Sparkle Spots.

This is such a fun and unusual card.  I can hardly wait to see if there are some more Anatomically Adorable stamps around the corner.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Hello Special Friend - #1 Fan Add On

Hello friends.  Today I have a video up on the Trinity Stamps YouTube Channel showing the process behind this fun friendship card.  For the main focus of the I used the new #1 Fan Add On Die Cut

I wanted to add some dimension to this card, so I popped up the fan with some foam tape after I fortified the fan grate by using 2 layers of cardstock on the front of the fan; then sandwiching the fan blades with another fan grate.

To make it a table fan, I used the top pieces from the Souper Power Add On Die Set.

For the sentiment, I used the Simply Sentimental: Hello Coordinating the Die Set for the large piece.  The little flag was stamped using the Simply Sentimental: Special Stamp Set.

For the sentiment on the inside of the card, I used the Simply Sentimental: Hello Stamp Set on a piece of cardstock cut to 5.25" x 4.0".

To add a little bling to my card, I added Silver Sparkle Spots Confetti to the corners.

If you would like to follow along in the process, I have linked the YouTube Video below.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have an amazing day!

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

\

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I am still having fun playing the with Trinity Stamps new Nugs & Kisses Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies.  They just make me giggle.

For the the background on this card, I used the Layered Confetti Stencil with Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Prize Ribbon and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks.  I used a little Squeezed Lemonade to dust the edges of my yellow cardstock to add a little color variation to the background.

I used the sentiments that are part of the Nugs & Kisses Stamp Set and then hand cut my speech bubbles.

For the sentiment, I used the Simply Sentimental: Celebrate Die Set along with the Stamp Set.

I colored the nugget crew using Copic Markers in the following colors:

  • Y26, YR23, YR24 - Nuggets
  • R14, R27, R39 - Box

To finish the card, I popped up the sentiments and the nuggets.  I also used the new Golden Sparkle Stars Confetti to fill in the background.

This is a fairly quick card to make because there isn't a lot of coloring,

Thanks for stopping by today!

You Are Cereal-sly Awesome

Hello!  Today I have a Valentines Card using one of Trinity Stamps dies from the new release.  This set is called Cereal-sly Awesome Add On Die Set.  This works with both the Alphabet Soup and Circle Shaped Card Die Set.

I wanted to add a little bit of frill to the card, so I used the Dainty Scallop Circle Die Set to the cute little outside edge.

For the inside of the card, I used the Supporting Script Sentiment Stamp Set, which I believe is an older set and may have been discontinued.

For the little "marshmallow" hearts in the bowl, I used the Sweet Strawberry Clay Embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope that you have an amazing day!

Congrats on Your Little Nugget

Hello!  Today is release day for Trinity Stamps and they have some of the cutest new goodies.  One of my favorites is the Nugs and Kisses Stamp and Die Collection.  There are a few stamps that are just perfect for a new baby card that is a fun step away from the usual images.  I have linked my YouTube video down below if you would like to see a more detailed process to make this card.

For this card, I used the Outdoors Borders and Scene Builders Die to create my background.  I cut two layers of grass and the foliage for the trees out of a medium green cardstock.  The picket fence is cut from white cardstock. I used one of the pieces meant to be part of a tree to create my bushes using a lighter green cardstock.

I always like to dust the edges of my stand alone die cuts with a little ink to soften the edges and give the piece a little more depth and texture.  The for the grass, bushes and tree top, I used Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink.  I did add just a little Gathered Twigs to the tree trunks.

I used the Puffy Cloud Layers Stencil to lay in some clouds using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

Once the background is created, I cut it down to do 5.25" x 4.0".

I have colored my little nuggets using Copic Markers in the following colors:

  • Y08, Y19, YR23 - Cheese Sauce
  • Y26, YR23, YR24 - Nuggets
  • R27, R39 - Hearts
  • E30, E51, Y23 - Sauce Container

I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder on one of my bushes.

I popped up the sentiment bush and nugget family using foam squares. As I was putting it together, I felt like the top of the card was just bare.  I had originally thought about using an older die called Build A Banner.  Alternatively, you could go back to the Outdoors Borders and Scene Builders Die and add a few birds to fill i the space.

I think this is just a really fun and unusual baby card and can't wait to send it the next time I need one of those cards.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Huggies For My Nuggie Shaker Card

Hello!  Today is the Trinity Stamps release day and boy do they have some fun new goodies.  I fell in love with the new Nugs and Kisses Stamp and Die Set, so I decided to create this fun little shaker card for Valentines Day.  I like this card because it isn't too frilly so it would be perfect for the guy in your life.

To start this card, I used the little ketchup splatters to stamp on my red cardstock.  I used a clear heat embossing powder to fill in the cardstock, but not detract from the rest of the card.

I used the inner part of the Dainty Heart Die Set to cut out my heart, which will be the window of my shakers card.  I also used the die to cut out a piece of cream colored cardstock for the inside background of the window.  I used the little "nugs & kisses" stamp from the set to add a little color to the  background but again, not to detract from the rest of the card.

I could decided which yellow cardstock to use on the card, so I decided to use both of them.  I layered the lighter colored yellow cardstock cut to 5.25" x 4.0" on the darker piece that was cut to 5.5" x 4.25".

I used the red cardstock with the heart cut out to help me place the cream colored heart shaker background piece.  Once that was placed, I used foam tape to create the window and support the rest of the red piece.  Then I filled the well with the new Red Heart Sprinkle Contetti.

Next, I used the Graham Cracker Alphabet Die Cut Set to cut out the wording for the card. I also used the Simple Sentimental -Sweet Coordinating Die Set for the sentiment in the center of the heart.

I decided to give the heart that my little nuggets are holding a Honey Mustard Drip - because what is a Nugget without Honey Mustard?  I used Copic markers in the following colors:

Y08, Y19, YR23 - Cheese Sauce

Y26, YR23, YR24 - Nuggets

R14, R27, R39 - Heart

E30, E51, Y23 - Sauce Container

Once I have applied a piece of acetate to the back of the heart window opening, I applied it to the foam tape to seal in the shaker pieces.

I just love the way this card turned out and I have the perfect little friend to give it to this Valentines Day.

Thank you for stopping by today!.  Jump on over to the Trinity Stamps shop to order up some nuggets!
