Mulit-Alien Birthday Card

Greetings Earthling!  How about a super quick and cute card?

I love the Tiny Alien from Trinity Stamps and he is definitely cute enough to hold his own on a card.

The sentiment on the front and on the inside are from the We've Come For Cake.

This one just makes me giggle.

That's all for today!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!!!

Party Favors From Outer Space

Hello!  It has been awhile since I have made a box or little party favor.  I thought that the Trinity Stamps Milky Way Stamp Set would be adorable on their Milk Carton.  Gosh, this would be so cute for a little person's Birthday Party.

To start this project, I inked a 6" x 6" piece of white cardstock with Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink. In order to be able to cut out my four square pieces for the carton sides, with the ink gradation, I inked the Blueprint Sketch on the upper and lower edges of the cardstock.

Rather than spatter or speckle the inked piece, I used the Starfield Letter Press Plate with Silver Glimmer Foil.  Once I had my piece foiled, I used the Milk Carton Dies to cut out my panels.

I used the Milk Carton Die to cut two pieces of black cardstock.  I applied double sided tape on the tabs that extend out from the left side of the die cut piece.  The die, place embossed lines where you need to fold the piece to be able to construct the carton.  Before I assemble the carton, I find that it is easier to apply the inked panels first. I have linked my YouTube video below for a more detailed process.

My images are stamped from the Milky Way Stamp Set and cut out with the coordinating dies.  I colored them in with Copic markers in the following colors:

  • B0000, B01, B14, B18
  • Y02, Y08, Y19
  • YR02, YR09, YR18

Once I have my images colored and cut out, I adhered a cow and a sign to the front and the back of the assembled carton.  I felt like I still needed something for the sides and the front and back tops, so I went back to the die set and stamped some more images, colored them and cut them out.  That was just right!!!

Once I had my cartons constructed and decorated, I used a paper punch to punch the center top tabs.  I cut a piece of yellow gingham ribbon to tie them together.  I was hoping that I had a black and white gingham ribbon, but no such luck.

These were so much fun to create!  I think that I just might give them to the little kids next door.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Espresso-Terrestrial

Bean Me Up!!!! I need my coffee!!!😀😀😀👽👽

Another shaker card today using Trinity Stamps, Espresso-Terrestrial Stamp Set. I am not sure if it has been released yet, I got mine with a bundle purchase on the last release.

For the card background, I used a medium purple cardstock with the Time Warp Letterpress Plate and Fuchsia Flowers Glimmer Foil.  I saved the foil that was leftover and foiled another piece of cardstock for the coffee cup label.

For the coffee cup, I used the Tip and Sip Coffee Shaker Die Set.  I cut the five of the shaker frame pieces, and trimmed out the inside pieces to the ones I chose to you use would move a little freer.  I glued the five frames together to create my shaker well.  The background of my cup is a medium brown piece of cardstock.

Once I had my well created, I filled it with Espresso Ground Confetti Mix, and a few Fuchsia and Grape Sparkle Spots Flat Confetti Mix. I kind of overfilled it, so they don't move as well as I would like them, but that's okay!  I sealed up my well with a piece of acetate cut with the die.  The outside of my coffee cup is cut from a brightish green card stock.  I dusted the edges with a little Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink.  The lid is cut from a very bright turquoise cardstock. I used a Copic maker to enhance the embossed lines to give it a little more dimension.

I stamped the image with the Espress-Terrestrial Stamp Set and added the "humans" being abducted with the Abducted Stamp Set.  I colored it with Copic markers in the following colors:

B02, B04, BG05

RV32, V12, V15, V17

YG00, YG01, YG23

B0000, BG01

Once I had everything put together, my card felt a little naked.  I really wanted to incorporate the little sayings that came with the stamp set, so I cut circles out of cardstock with the Clean Cut Layers Circles Set A to fit the sentiments.  I inked them with Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Ripe Persimmon.  I used the coffee bean stamps to make the "craters" in my new created "planets/moons".  They didn't stamp out real well, but I was using Distress Oxide Inks and they probably would have worked better with other inks.

As I was making this card, I thought that it would be fun to put in a gift card holder on the inside left.  I used the die that comes with the Coffee Mug Card to the card holder.

The inside sentiment is from the We've Come For Cake Stamp Set.  I thought that the combination of the two sentiments was just right for this card.

That is pretty much it for this card.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonder day!

Flight Deck

Hello crafty friends!  Are you tired of my outer space themed cards yet?  I am still not done playing with them.  There is something about this last Trinity Stamps release that totally sparked a creative streak in me.  Maybe it's because I had two boys, maybe it's just the fun colors.  Who knows??

I wasn't sure how I was going to use the Flight Deck Die, but it is perfect for a shaker card.  The cow and the Milky Way sign from the Milky Way Stamp Set and coordinating dies were just perfect for this card.

I inked the background with Black Soot and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Ink on white cardstock.  To add a little more interest to the background I stamped and heat embossed some of the designs that are included with Milky Way Stamp Set.  I also speckled the background with silver metallic watercolor.

I colored the images using Copic markers in the following colors:

  • Y02, Y15, Y36
  • B000, BG01, B04, B05
  • YR02, YR16, YR18
  • R11, R21
  • E50, E51, E53, E55, E57

Once I had my images die cut and applied to the background, I used 2 layers of black foam tape to create my well for the Celestial Skies Sprinkles Clay Embellishment Mix.  I only had 1/2" black foam tape, so for the sides, I cut it in half so edges were a little more proportionate to the Flight Deck Die.

The Flight Deck die is open on the sides, so to cover up my foam tape, I cut 1/4" strips of black cardstock and adhered them to a piece of 4" x 5.25" acetate sheet.  I cut the Flight Deck out of black cardstock and adhered that to my acetate.  I used the die again to cut the deck again from Turquoise and Purple cardstock. Then I trimmed them to fit on top of the black cardstock layer to give it some fun color.  I cut the panels, steering wheels and gages using the included dies from the set and adhered them to the instrument panel.

Once I had everything adhered to the acetate, I placed it on my shaker well.

I glued my shaker piece to a black cardstock card base.  For the sentiment, I used one from the Milky Way Stamp Set and stamped it on a piece of 4.0" x 5.25" white cardstock and glued it to the inside of my card base.

This cow is so cute just floating through space don't you think???

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!!!
