Peeking Over Pups

 

Hello!  Today I am back as a Guest Designer for Gerda Steiner Designs. Her little friends have such personality.  We are big dog people.  I have had a dog for most of my adult life and when we didn't it was because our hearts were healing from the loss of one.  Quincy is our buddy now, we got him as a puppy from a rescue - the first puppy we ever had.  Boy, those puppies are a lot of work but we wouldn't trade him for the world.  Enough of that - on to the cards.

For these cards, I used Peeking Over Pups and Puppies And Cake.  I did a little creative masking and then used an old stencil from My Favorite Things to create a simple card. Once I had my images, stamped and masked, I used Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink to color the background area.  

I used Copic markers to color my friends in the following colors:

• C00. C0, C1, C2, C3, C6
• E08, E09, E97, E99

• W1, W3, W5, W7
• YR30, E41, E42, E31, E23, E57
• R12, RV42

Once I had my pups colored, I cut a mask for the sentiment and used the mask that comes with the stencil to protect those areas from the spatter.  I used watered down black water color from my spatter.

I love both of these cards and will definitely have them on hand to send.
