Embellished Curvey Ornaments by Emily Moore Designs

 Hello friends.  Today I have a couple of cards that I created with the new Curvy Ornaments Nested Dies by Emily Moore Designs.  I also used her new Christmas Charms to adorn the ornament hanger.  Now, I am all about stretching your stash, so I pulled out her Necklace Dies to embellish my ornaments.  

I used the medium sized ornament for these cards.  I used the chain from the Necklace Die set that has the little hearts on it.  The reason I chose those; I could shape them a little easier than the other dies in that set.  I needed to cut that piece out three times in order to have enough chain for each ornament. 

For the green ornament, I used a matte gold metallic cardstock, which I thought it gave the ornament an elegant look.

 For the red ornament, I wanted a more folksy vibe, so I used a cream-colored cardstock.

I selected the snowflake from the Christmas Charm set and cut them out of a gold glittered cardstock.  

The sentiment is Simply Sentimental: Merry Die Set my Trinity Stamps.  

I really like the way both of these turned out and look forward to sending them off this season.

Hello, crafty friends! Skip the snackle box—today we’re serving up a deliciously fun Sharkcuterie Board! I created this clever card with the new Sharkcuterie Board Stamp Set by Pajama Crafter Stamps. I’m not sure how these treats would taste, but they sure look fintastic!

To set the scene, I layered a stamped and ink blended paper with another piece of paper that was stenciled with the Casted Net Stencil. I added a bit of jute beside the sentiment for the perfect seaside touch.

Friends Like You Are the Coolest

Elegant Poinsettia Christmas Card

 

This Christmas card is bringing all the soft, pretty sparkle! The gorgeous pink poinsettias play beautifully against the pale pink lacy background, giving the whole card such a sweet and elegant holiday feel. Under Sea Shark-cuterie!

 

Cue the confetti—and maybe a few fin waves! This Shark-cuterie Board Stamp Set by Pajama Crafter Stamps is making a big splash and serving up serious under-the-sea party vibes. Packed with playful, fishy treats, it’s the perfect way to turn any celebration into a fintastic feast!

The background of this card is ink blended with Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sketch Distress Oxide Ink.  Once it was blended, I spattered on a little water followed by some watered down white acrylic paint.

I used the largest of my Catherine Pooler Wavy Nested Die to give this background an additional wavy vibe.

The two stamp sets that I used are What The Krill and Sharkcuterie Board.  I used Copic markers in the following colors:

Congrats On Your Little Cutie!

How adorable would this be for welcoming a sweet new little one? I am always on the lookout for baby cards that feel fresh, playful, and a little unexpected, and this one makes me smile from start to finish. It features one of the darling new stamp and die sets from the latest Trinity Stamps release, and I am completely smitten with the lacy trim and all those tiny sleepers and bibs. The precious little “Cutie” detail adds the happiest finishing touch!

My background consists of three layers.  The orange cardstock is cut to 5.5" x 4.25".  The lacy layer is cut using the Dainty Scallops Rectangles (A2) Die Set.  I also used this set to cut out the trim on the little sentiment at the bottom right corner.  I used the A-2 Clean Cut Layers - Rectangles Set A to cut the patterned paper and the paper that the sentiment is stamped on.  

For the circle highlighting the little cutie was cut using the Clean Cut Layers Circles - Set A Die Set.  The little lacy border was cut from white cardstock using the Dainty Scallops Circles Die Set.

The Cutie is from the new Hi, Cutie Stamp and Die Set.  I used Copic markers in colors similar to the orange cardstock.  The sentiment is part of the stamp set.  To fill in the blank areas on the card after I glued on the Cutie and Sentiment, I used the stamp set Loads Of Fun, which is part of a Craft Roulette Collection.  Now, you can fussy cut the little onesie, or there is a die that works perfectly in the Spin Cycle Die Set, which is also a Craft Roulette Collection Die Set.  

To add a little dimension to the card, I popped up the Cutie, bib and onesie with foam dots.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is also from the Loads Of Fun Stamp Set.

Full Circle Collection by Emily Moore Designs

Hi friends! I’m excited to share a cute card I made with the new Full Circle Collection. I’m loving the products in this release—from the stencil and stamp sets to the dies. They make creating a beautiful card quick and easy!

I wanted to create my own paper for this project, so I used the new Dainty Dots Stencil.  I used Catherine Pooler Inks in, Sparkling Berry, Aquatini and Blue Raspberry.  I used white cardstock as my base and then lightly blended the color all over the paper and then used one of the stencils to add additional color to make a beautiful tone on tone print.

For the sentiment and main focus on this card, I used the new stamp set Gentle Reminder, along with the new Decorative Circles Die Set.  I stamped this on another piece of cardstock that I inked with the Catherine Pooler Aquatini Stamp Pad.  I also dusted the edges of the circle to add a little dimension to the piece.

For the outer edge of the sentiment circle, I used the new Doilies & Daisies Circle Dies to cut out white cardstock.  I glued these layers together.

Next, I cut the Blue Raspberry colored paper to 5.25” x 4.0”.  I used that size because I wanted to have a small border around my design which would finish at an A-2 size, which is 5.5” x 4.25”.

To add a sweet embellishment to the bottom right corner of my card, I used the new Buttons Die Set to cut out the largest heart button from some of the Sparkling Berry inked paper.  While you don’t have to put anything in the thread holes of the buttons, I chose to add a piece of white organza ribbon to enhance the delicate feel of this card.  Once I had my heart temporarily placed, I decided to add a little bit of cotton lace across the bottom.  That was exactly what was needed to keep the soft feel of the card.

The Nutcracker Ballet

I can almost hear the beautiful Nutcracker score playing when I look at this festive Christmas in July card! I had so much fun creating it with some adorable Kat Scrappiness products, and it brings a little holiday magic to the summer season. From Clara to the Sugar Plum Fairy to the famous Nutcracker himself, this card feels like a tiny Christmas performance all wrapped up in paper and sparkle.

It is the 20th of the month so that means it is Crafty Al's Oh So Inspired You Tube Hop.  This is the card that I came up with based on a card created by Veronica S or @simple_stamper.  I loved how she placed the circles along the right side of her card.  I also like that she used a die to cut out a design and then incorporated it back in the design.  I also really liked that the sentiment was inspirational.

For my card, I went bold on the colors and switched the die cut from the circle to another die cut.

Outside the Porthole

What in the stars is floating around out there in space?  It is one of my favorite gnomes all geared up in his space suit.  I guess you never know what you will see out of the Porthole Circle Card Add On Die Set  by Trinity Stamps.

If you have been following my blog, you will know that I just love the Trinity Stamps gnomes.  I use them a lot in my cardmaking.  I am just crazy about this card and will probably hang on to it for a little bit.  

To make this beautiful background, I stamped my gnome and planets on a piece of cardstock and then masked them.  Next, I used the Crater Layers Stencil to lay in my moon surface.  I used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink for the base of the moon and then used Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seet Distress Oxide Inks for the crater layers.  Before I continued on to ink blend the sky, I wanted to add my foiled stars background.  To do this, I masked off the moon area and then used the Starfield Letter Press Plate with Citron Foil to add the stars.  It is hard to see in the photo, but the letterpress plate did leave slight indentations, but the masking prevented the stars to be foiled where I didn't want them.  For the sky I used Salty Ocean, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink.

I used Copic markers in the following colors:

To build the actual card, I cut a piece of black cardstock to 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25".  I placed another piece of white cardstock cut to 5.25" x 4.0" on top of the black cardstock that would make the front of the card.  To make the inner porthole opening, I used a die from the Clean Cut Layers - Circles Set A  to cut a circle that corresponded to the inside opening of the Porthole Circle Card Add On Die Set.  I used several different colors of a matte metallic cardstock to cut out the different layers of the porthole and added a few Silver Sparkle Stars to add a little glitz.

For the sentiment on the bottom of the card, I used a sentiment from the Astronomical Gnomes Stamp Set.

I am crazy about this porthole and I am sure I will be sharing more cards with it in the future.

Take Me To Your.....Donut?

Oh my stars—could this be any cuter? Aliens cruising around in donut spaceships? Yes, please! This adorable new stamp collection from Pajama Crafter Stamps is called I Come In Piece, and it is serving up pure cosmic sweetness. These little extraterrestrial cuties look like they’re off to explore the Milky Way—or maybe making a quick pit stop to share an out-of-this-world sundae.

This background has been ink blended using Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade., Picked Raspberries, Carved Pumpkin, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Lost Shadow, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot.  Phew!  That is a lot of colors!  I also used two stencils by Trinity Stamps called Crater Layers Stencil Set and Moon Layers.  

My outer space pals have been colored with the following colors:

Too Hot To Haunt

My goodness, this summer has been so hauntingly hot that even the Halloween crew had to float in for a little cool-down! Adventure Awaits

 

Ahoy, matey! Today I’m sharing an encouragement card I made with Adventure Awaits, a newer stamp set from Pajama Crafters Stamps. I love the ship with its pirate flag—it suggests strength and resilience. I chose sentiments that encourage the recipient to stay strong and keep going.

I wanted some dimension for this card, but I didn't want to just pop up the ship on foam dots and the image seam appropriate for a shake card, so I decided to frame the ship and sentiment.  I used an older die by My Favorite Things that cut two openings with the larger square opening up top.  

To keep the construction of this card "clean", I used the die to cut out 8 layers of 110lb cardstock.  I glued the layers together to create "wells".  I used the die to cut the patterned paper for the front and inner areas.

I used Copic markers to color the ship.  I matched to colors to the patterned paper as best as I could.  Once it was colored, I cut it out, applied 1mm foam squares to the back and centered it in the square openings.

Hello Sunshine!

Summer is in full swing, so it's the perfect time to celebrate with this oversized beach ball card made with a new Trinity Stamps summer release. And if the beach ball doesn’t have you dreaming of the shore, the palm trees and sandy scene just might.

This card would work beautifully for all kinds of occasions.

For the background on this card, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 5.25" x 4.0" and used the Puffy Clouds Layers Stencil with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. I ink blended a little Tea Dye Distress Oxide Ink on the bottom inch of the cardstock to give it the illusion of sand.  

I used the new Tiny Island Die Set to cut out the sandy hill and the two palm trees.  I used Distress Oxide Ink to dust up the edges to give them a little dimension.

The beach ball was cut out using two different colors of cardstock using the new Beach Ball Circle Card Add On Die Set.  I dusted the edges of the ball pieces with Distress Oxide Ink.

The "hello" is cut from white and hot pink cardstock using the Simply Sentimental: Hello Coordinating Die Set.  I like to layer die cut lettering to give them a little dimension - it's a small detail that really makes the lettering pop!  The word "sunshine" is from the Sunshine Die Cut Set.  I layered those also.  

To add a little summer sparkle to my card, I added a few bits of confetti from the Electric Parade Confetti embellishment mix.

Betta Believe It

Isn't this a fun card? Well, you Betta Believe it is!  I created this card with a couple of new goodies from Trinity Stamps.

This die set is called, Fish Bowl Circle Card Add On Die Set, and it comes with the Betta fish die along with the fishbowl decorations. This die was created to fit on a circle shaped card that is created with the Circle Shaped Card Die Set. Of course you could always use it as a focal point on any card such as and A-2.

I used the Funfetti Alphabetti Die Set for the sentiment.  To give my letters a little dimension, I layered two letters together using a dark blue cardstock and a hot pink card stock.

For the inside sentiment on this card, I used an older Trinity Stamp Set that is now retired, but you could use anything you want or leave it blank for your own personal sentiment.

Ghoul Party

Did someone say "pool party", oops I mean "ghoul party".  When Whimsy Stamps released this limited-edition Summerween Collection, I just had to have it.  I absolutely love Halloween, so it sure doesn't take much for me to jump right in on a card.  

I used both the Summerween Vibes and Summerween Scream for this card.  I colored them with Copic markers in the following colors:

For the pool, I used Catherine Pooler's Take A Dip Shaker Die.  Of course, this isn't a shaker card, but I sure would be a cute one don't you think?  

For the pool water, I used the Pool Water Stencil by Crafty Stamp Co.  I wanted my pool to have a Halloween Vibe, so I used Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Inks.  The outside grassy area is white cardstock ink blended with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide.

For the lettering on the sentiment, I used my new favorite alphabet die set called Funfetti Alphabetti by Trinity Stamps.  Not only do I love the size, but I like that the set has upper- and lower-case letters in addition to numbers and punctuation.  

The cobwebs and bats were cut from a couple of other Halloween die cut sets that I have in my stash.

Baby You're A Firework

 

With Flag Day this weekend and Independence Day waving from just around the corner, I’ve been taking a little stroll down Bicentennial memory lane. I’m old enough to remember that wonderfully fun summer of bike parades, pool parties, backyard BBQs, and fireworks galore. It felt pretty carefree, at least for me and my siblings. One of the big thrills was the release of the Bicentennial Quarter. These days, there are so many different quarters floating around that none of them feel quite as magical. But before I disappear completely into nostalgia, I’ll move along.

I bought this stamp at least a year ago, and Pissy Kitty has been patiently—or maybe not so patiently—waiting for her big debut. We’re dog people, but I have a soft spot for any animal with attitude, and this kitty has sass to spare.

This stamp set is called Purr-ade Crasher: Pissy Kitty and it is from Unity Stamp Co.  I colored this sassy pants with Copic markers in the following colors:

• R05, R08, R24 - reds
• B26, B28, B39 - blues
• Y18, Y38, YR15 - yellows
• C00, C1, C3, C5 - kitty

I used a number of dies in my stash to cut out the different shapes from some Patriotic patterned paper.  The sentiments are all included in the stamp set which makes the a fun and quick card.

 Hello and Happy Summer!  Today I have a shaker card that I created with some of the new goodies from the new Trinity Stamps release.  

This was a really easy shaker card to make because I used the new Porthole Circle Card Add On Die Set to create my well for the little shaker elements.  I did this by using the die to cut out six portholes and then stacked them on top of each other.  I glued the six stacked porthole pieces on top of a circle card that I cut out using the Circle Shaped Card Die Set.

I used one of the center cut outs to ink blend a background with Salty Ocean and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink.  

To decorate the inside of my porthole, I used the dies that are included with the Porthole Circle Card Add On Die Set for the sand, seaweed and coral.  The fish are from the new Tiny Tropical Fish Die Set.

I cut the actual porthole from a silver and dark gray shimmery cardstock and glued those pieces to a round piece of acetate.  I used the Clean Cut Layers-Circle Set A to cut the acetate piece along with the sentiment piece for the inside of the card.  Before I sealed up my card, I sprinkled in some Snow Day Confetti.  That mix is just perfect for the inside of this card.  

For the sentiment on the inside is stamped from the Simply Sentimental: Hello Stamp Set.  

This is such a pretty card and so unusual don't you think?
