Nutcracker Guardians

Hello!  It's almost time to start on those Christmas cards.  Today I have a super quick card with just a little bit of coloring.  This handsome fellow is from the Nutcracker Guardians Stamp Set by Crafty Stamp Co.  This card was based on a sketch that I followed pretty closely this time.

I love his soft colors against the patterned paper.  Definitely not your traditional colors for sure.  The pattern packs I used are Christmas Snow and Lovely As A Rose

Backpacks are packed, pencils are sharpened, and the kids are settling back into the school groove! This school-themed card was created with the new Capes & Courage stamp set by Pajama Craft Stamps, and it’s all about celebrating brave hearts, big smiles, and everyday heroes. Because let’s be honest—some of the most incredible people shine with or without a cape!

My little friend was colored with the following Copic colors:

The paper that I used on this project is called Apple Seeds & ABC's by Unity Stamps.  The die cut set that I used is from My Favorite Things, which is no longer in business, called Blueprint #13.

I had so much fun creating this card, and I think it’s the perfect way to brighten someone’s day and remind them just how super they are.

Winter Wonderland Snow Globe Shaker Card

 

 

Snowflakes, snow globes, and a little shaker magic—what could be more festive for Christmas? This cheerful shaker card is full of wintry sparkle and holiday fun, and I created it with the new Winter Wonderland Snow Globe Craft Die Set along with a few other new dies from this release. I especially love the Merry Christmas sentiment with its playful, wonky letters. It adds the perfect touch of whimsical snowy goodness!

Have A Web-tastic Day

Not too spooky, just a little bit cutesy, this grinning jack o’lantern is all smiles as he peeks out from a tangle of spooky spider webs. He looks like he is ready to light up the night, tell a few pumpkin jokes. He is just one of a trio from the Patchwork Pumpkins by Pajama Crafter Stamps, and each pumpkin has its own playful personality. For this card, I created my own inked spooky background using several shades of purple ink, blending them together to give the scene a rich, magical Halloween glow. Then I trimmed it out with spider webs to add a little eerie texture, a little crafty drama, and just the right amount of boo-tiful fun.

The sentiment is the from cardstock using the Dang, Whoa, Yikes! Word and Shadow Die Set.  I dusted the edges of the yellow shadow with a little Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Ink.  The letters were dusted with a bit of Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink. To add a little more interest to the letters, I used a marker to add a few little lines and stars similar to using a white gel pen.  The smaller sentiment at the bottom corner of the card is from the Boo-larina Stamp Set.  

This little guy just makes me so happy and makes me look forward to spooky season.  How about you?

I did a little ink blending on stencils using Squeezed Lemonade, Prize Ribbon, Lost Shadow and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Inks.

My superhero is colored with Copic Markers in the following colors:

• B21, B32, B37 - jacket
• R05, R08, R24 - cape
• Y00, Y08 - t-shirt and mask
• W3, W5, W7 - pants

The sentiment is made from the Dang, Whoa, Yikes Word and Shadow Die Set.  I made sure the shadow was black cardstock, so that "Dang" would really pop.  I also added a few white gel pen accents.

As always, I do love a little dimension on my cards, so I popped up my friend, and both sentiments on foam dots.  

This was such a fun card to make and I just love this little guy, don't you?

Nutcracker Snow Globe

 

Can you hear the magical notes of “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” floating through the air? A graceful ballerina takes center stage in this enchanting snow globe, watched over by not one, but two festive nutcrackers! I brought this merry shaker card to life with the new Kat Scrappiness Winter Woodland Snow Globe Craft Die.

I love shopping my stash and mixing brand-new goodies with old favorites—and the result is pure holiday delight!

To add the perfect finishing touch, I paired the new Merry Messages Stamp Set with the Scalloped Sentiment Strips, tying the whole festive scene together with a cheerful holiday flourish.

The Taters Go Trick Or Treating

Hello friends!  It's time to get cracking on those Halloween cards.  This is a really quick card because there isn't any crazy coloring.  As I have said before, Positive Tate by Crafty Stamp Co. is one of my favorites.  He always makes me smile.  

For this card, I used Crafty Stamp Co.'s Positive Tate's Halloween Scare.  I used Copic Markers in the following colors:

• E30, E31, E34, E35 - Tate
• C1, C3, C5 - Mummy
• C1, C3, C5 - Caldron

Various purples, greens, oranges and yellows for the banner and candy.

I used paper from the Boo Bash Paper Collection for all the background papers on this card.

Mushroom Harvest

It is the 20th of the month so it is time for an Oh So Inspired Card.

This month's inspiration card is a card by Sandi McIver or @sandimciver on Instagram.  I liked that she used an 3D embossing folder two different ways and let the ink blending be the start of the show.

For my card, I used a Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder of the month called Mushroom Harvest. I had bought this folder quite a while ago and was excited to finally use it.  I wanted to really highlight the various mushrooms and foliage, so rather than ink blend, I used Copic markers to color them in.  I also double matted my center panel to make sure to pull out the colors I used.

For the sentiment, I used Trinity Stamps Simply Sentimental: Hello Coordinating Die Set.  To add a little richness to the card, I used a gold metallic cardstock for my lettering.  I also added a few sparkle spots for a little bling.

I am absolutely crazy about this card and am so glad I was able to use the embossing folder.

Happy Birthday Earthling!!!

 

Command control to Earth—we have the cutest alien encounter in the galaxy! This little visitor is zooming in to wish one lucky earthling a happy birthday, and with that wide smile and those happy eyes, he is far more sweet than scary. Suit up, space friends—I think we’re perfectly safe blasting off for a fun adventure among the stars together!

I created this card for this week's Craft Roulette challenge #336.  At first I was at a loss with the Element; Ship(s)(ing) until Mr. Producer said it could include a rocket ship.  Perfect!!! I have a few of them from Trinity Stamps.  I am not sure that I have ever used the Flight Deck Die Set before, so I was excited to play with it.  This card came together fairly quick.

You're Spooky and Sweet

 

Peekaboo! This adorable little ghost has discovered the perfect hiding spot inside this grinning Jack-o’-lantern. He may be tucked away in a spooky forest, but with that sweet little smile, he looks more ready for Halloween fun than fright!

I created this card using the new digital stamp by Sweet November Stamps for this week’s Spooky Season Spectacular—and it was such a treat to bring this cute little haunt to life!

To build the spooky-sweet scene, I mixed ink blending, die cutting, and coloring, then had a blast shopping my stash. It’s always a fun little treasure hunt, and I love rediscovering supplies I had completely forgotten were lurking there!

 These little fall friends are having the absolute best time jumping, tumbling, and playing in a big crunchy pile of leaves! Fall Friends

 With fall just around the corner, I couldn’t resist creating this sweet little slider card full of cozy autumn fun. Just look at this adorable trio of friends! That little bunny is having the absolute best time leaping into the leaf pile, and I’m pretty sure they’ve been taking turns raking up the biggest, crunchiest pile just for each other.

I created this card with the new Kat Scrappiness Leaf Pile Critters Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies and had so much fun building that cheerful fall scene with the new Build A Scene Stamp and Die Set. It has all the happy sweater-weather vibes—playful leaves, cute critters, and a little bit of autumn magic.

If You Got It Haunt It

This debonair Jack-O’-Lantern is serving spooky forest charm with a mischievous little grin. There he sits, cool as can be, waiting to give the next trick-or-treater a playful fright — though with that patched-up side, he’s definitely more cute than creepy. This fun little fellow is from the Patchwork Pumpkins Stamp Set by Pajama Crafter Stamps.

I have layered him on an ink blended background.  I blended Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink to make the spooky sky.  

The tree silhouette background is the Spooky Forest Overlay by Riley and Company. The corner cobweb is a Kat Scrappiness Die from the Creepy Crawly Craft Die Set.

The sentiment is from the Pajama Crafter Stamps Where My Ghouls At Stamp Set.  I stamped in on a moon that I cut out with the Riley and Company Moon and Bats Die Set.

Peek A Boo

Peek-a-boo… she sees you! This darling little skeleton, topped off with her bright green bow, is peeking over the stone fence—not to give you a fright, but to send a sweet and spooky Happy Halloween your way. She’s from the new Peek A Bones stamp by Pajama Crafter Stamps, and she is all treats, no tricks.

To bring this little scene to life, I popped up both the skeleton and the spooky foliage at the base of the wall for a bit of dimension and playful shadow. She’s set in front of a glowing full moon with an inky Distress Oxide background that adds just the right haunted-night magic.

I used Copic markers in the following colors:

• BV0000, BV31, BV01 - skeleton

• Y38, YR18, YR07 - leaves and pumpkin

The Frighteningly Adorable Witchy Boo Crew

This festive Halloween card is packed with spooky-cute personality! The whole Boo Crew showed up for the fun—witch, ghost, spider, black cat, pumpkin, and of course my favorite candy corn. I created this card using the Witchy Boo Crew Stamp Set by Kat Scrappiness, and it was such a treat bringing all these little characters together. To create this fall festival vibe, I used the Kissing Booth Craft Die to create my little marked stand.  The decorative flags are also included in this die set to that's fun!

My background was ink blended with Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink.

The Witchy Boo Crew was colored with Copic markers in the following colors:

The sentiment on this card is from the Simple Sentiments Halloween Edition Stamp Set.  I trimmed my sentiment out with a little bit of the cardstock that matches the outside border.

Lettuce - Celery-brate!

Is it funny, punny, or maybe a little bit of both? This adorable bowl of veggies is serving up plenty of smiles along with all those sweet well wishes. I’m not sure what makes me grin more—the happy little head of lettuce or the perfectly punny sentiment!  I created this card with the Lettuce Celery-brate Stamp and Die Set by Trinity Stamps.  

I stamped the Pantry Box Greeting on a piece of white cardstock, then cut it out with the coordinating die set.  To make the lettering pop, I colored in all the white cardstock with black marker.  Mission accomplished don't you think?  

To give my card a garden feel, I used the Waffle Texture Cover Plate to look like a lattice panel.  

I used the Tiny Bowl Buddy Die Set to hold my lettuce and celery.  

I stamped my little nutritious friends using the the Lettuce Celery-brate Stamp Set and used the coordinating dies to cut them and the sentiment out.  I colored them with the following Copic colors:  

• YG21, YG05, YG17
• Y04, Y08, Y19
• G0000, G000, G00

This card is just so silly and fun - it brings a smile to my face!

I created this playful Halloween card featuring the new Witchy Boo Crew Stamp Set by Kat Scrappiness complete with eerie trees, a charming wrought iron fence, and a beautifully inked background that brings the whole haunted scene to life. The background on this card was ink blended with Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Marinier and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink.  

The spooky trees and wrought fence were cut using the Crafter Essentials Halloween Die Set by Kat Scrappiness.

To finish this card, I added a little bit of bling using the Halloween Solid Confetti Sequin Mix.  This mix has all the best Halloween colors.  I just randomly glued a few to give this card a little bit of bling. 

I am over the moon thrilled with the way this card turned out.
