Eye Think You Are Souper!

Hello friends!!  I hope the summer has been good for you.  We only have a few weeks left in August - which is hard to believe.  This is my favorite time of year for cardmaking.  I love, love, love making Halloween cards.  It is always fun to incorporate stamps and dies since last Halloween even if they aren't seasonal - which is what this punny card is all about.  All the stamps and dies are from Trinity Stamps.

I wasn't quite sure where or how the bowl of eyeball soup would fit on this card, so I put the sentiment on first.  I used the new Sundae Swirl Alphabet for the "Eye Think You Are".  The "Souper" is from the Souper stamp set for the white heat embossing and the Soup Can Card Die Set for the shadow. The spoon in the bowl is also from the Soup Can Card Die Set.

The soup bowl is from the Alphabet Soup Die.  I used a bright green cardstock for the soup.  To give it a little shimmer, I spritzed with Rustic Wildness Distress Spritz after I dusted the edges with a little Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink.  The bowl is cut from purple cardstock and dusted with Villainous Potion on the edges.

The eyeballs are cut from the Scream and Sugar Mug Add On Die Set.  I cut them from white cardstock and then touched up the edges with a very light blue Copic Marker.  I added a white highlight on the pupil using a gel pen.  I orange pieces are also from the same die.  The yellow eyes are cut from yellow cardstock using the Eerie Eyes Die Set.

To finish the front of the card, I used Starlight Confetti to fill in the open spaces and give the card a little glitz.

For the inside of my card, I used the Simply Sentimental: Halloween Stamp Set to create the sentiment.

This card was so fun and quick to make.  It just makes me chuckle.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having a great summer!

Sandy
