From My Teapot To Yours

What could make a sweeter little home for a squirrel than a charming teapot? This festive little critter is all decked out for the Christmas season, from the candy cane decorations to the gumdrop-lined pathway. It’s a whimsical holiday hideaway filled with merry details and plenty of sugary-sweet cheer!

For this merry little creation, I used patterned paper from the Dare2BArtzy Teapot and Tiny Tales Collection. I’d love to take credit for the clever design, but the original inspiration came from a fun Make and Take project! I had the chance to visit the Dare2BArtzy store this past summer while I was in Kansas City for Craft Roulette Live, where they shared the sweetest card-holder project. My festive version is patterned after that cheerful design.

It’s also my submission for this week’s Craft Roulette Challenge! Here were the parameters:

Project: Card on a Card

Colors: Celebration

Element: Water(s) (ing)

Random: Confetti

And this card has a little holiday magic tucked into every parameter! It’s a card on a card that’s holding another card—three times the festive fun! The colors feel quietly celebratory, and since it’s a Christmas card, the merriment is built right in. The wispy steam rising from the teapot covers the water element, and a sprinkling of confetti embellishments adds the perfect finishing touch.

This card is absolutely adorable, wonderfully festive, and quick enough to make before Santa arrives!
