Reach For The Stars!!

Hello Friends!  I am still playing with the T-riffic stamp and die set from Trinity Stamps.  All the little dinos in this set are just so cute!  This T-rex cracks me up with his little grabbers.

For the background on this card, I ink blended, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink.  Once it was blended and dried, I used my Lawn Fawn Starry Sky Background Hot Foil Plate with silver Glimmer Hot Foil.

For the background volcanos, I used the Lawn Fawn Mountain Border to cut out a medium purple cardstock.  I cut the tops of the mountain and then blended the edges with a light layer of Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Ink.  I used some liquid glue and some orange glitter to make the lava at the tops of the volcanos and it looked really good until the glue dried and it wasn't orange anymore.  Whomp! Whomp!

For the foreground I used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Border to cut my hill.  I ink blended Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.  The little plants around my friend, are cactus cut from medium and dark green cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Plant A Succulent Die.

The T-rex is colored with Copic Markers in the following colors

  • YR21, YR24, YR27
  • Y15, Y18
  • C1, C4
The "reach for the" sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Upon A Star stamp set.  The letters are from their Henry's ABC's.  The "you've got this" is from Trinity Stamps - A Sentiment For (almost) Anything.

This is a really quick card to make because there is only one image to color and the rest are just die cuts.

I hope you have found a little inspiration for this silly guy.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day.

Sandy
