Peep Trio

Hello and Happy March!!!  Gosh I think February may seem longer than January.  Today I have a card that I had made a video of, but I had some major computer issues and lost it all.  I hate when that happens.  At least I still had the still photos.  This card was created with a new die from Trinity Stamps.  Shaker cards are one of my favorites to make and I thought that this die would make the perfect shaker window.

For the background on this card, I used the Retro Diamond Pattern 6x9 Layered Stencil.  The colors are, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink.  Once I had all my colors stenciled, I spattered my background with watered down Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink. I trimmed it to 5.25" x 4.0".

I laid the Peep Trio Die in the center of the card and ran it through my die cut machine.  I did the same thing on a piece of medium cardstock.  I cut one more trio from a light lavender cardstock.

I centered my inked background piece on another piece of medium purple cardstock cut to 5.5" x 4.25" to find out where to place my lavender trio, which will be the background of my shaker well.

Using a 1/4" 2mm foam tape, I went around the outside of my bunnies to make my shaker well.  I used more foam tape to cover where the inked paper would rest to make sure it was supported.

I filled my wells with Pool, Honeydew and Bubblegum Sparkle Spots and a little of Green Gleam Chunky Shreds.

I laid my inked background on top of the foam tape with the adhesive exposed and sealed up my card. Make sure to put a piece of acetate over you little peep window!

For the sentiment, I used the new Simply Sentimental: Easter Coordinating Die along with the Simply Sentimental: Happy Coordinating Die Set.  I used the same color of cardstock that I used for the rest of the card so it would be too busy.

For the sentiment on the inside of the card, I used the new Simply Sentimental:Easter Stamp Set with a pretty purple ink.  I decorated the inside with one of the peeps from the set and a little bit of left over inked paper at the bottom.

This turned out to be a really cute card don't you think?

Thank you for stopping by today.

Empty Tomb

Hello!  Today I have a card that was created with a new Trinity Stamps Die Set called Empty Tomb.  I think this turned out so be such a pretty card and it was very quick and easy to make.

I started with the background on this card.  I ink blended Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink on a piece of white cardstock.

I cut the two hillsides from strips of medium brown paper 2" by 5.5" and 2.5" x 5.5".  I dusted the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and glued them to the bottom of my background. I cut the stone and the tomb opening from the same cardstock and added the same color of distress oxide ink to the pieces, only I made sure to add more than I did on the hill borders.  The crosses were cut from a dark brown cardstock and glued to the top of the hill.

For the sentiment, I used the new Simply Sentimental-Faith Die Cut Set.  I cut it from gold glitter cardstock.

I always like to have a solid border around my card fronts, so once this card front was created, I cut it down to 5.25" x 4.0".  I glued it to a piece of solid colored cardstock that was the usual A-2 size, which is 5.5" x 4.25".

For the inside of this card, I used the new
Simply Sentimental-Easter Stamp Set to stamp the sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you are getting ready for a wonderful Spring season!

Egg-spert Opinion

Hello there!  Today i am up on the Trinity Stamp YouTube Channel with this cute and quick card made with the new Egg Shaped Card Die Set and the Egg-ceptional Sentiments Stamp and Coordinating Die Set by Trinity Stamps.  While I have made a few Easter cards with this die, this card would be a great "Cheer Me Up" card.

For the base of this card, I used the die to cut out a bright blue card stock.  I used the largest egg shape to cut out an egg from white cardstock. I used the included die to cut the top of the egg off and give the lower half a crack.  To add a little dimension to the egg, I dusted the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink on all the edges.

Since the egg is cut in two pieces, you might want to use a little piece of tape on the back to hold the pieces together so it is easier to center and glue on the card base.

I wanted to add a little dimension to the card with the glasses, so I cut out four sets of glasses and then glued them together.  I used the die from the Sunshine Die Set for the frames.

Once I had the glasses glued to the egg, I was able to place the eyes where they looked best and gave him a cute look.   I used the included die to cut out his mouth from white cardstock and then colored the pieces with markers so I could get the color I was looking for.  I did not put a nose on him because I felt like it would be too much.

The little band-aids are also included in the set.  I also cut those out of white cardstock and then used a marker to color the pieces the traditional color.  I glued them along to crack to make it look like they are "holding things together".

For the sentiment on the front of the card, I used the Egg-ceptional Sentiment Stamp Set to stamp and heat emboss with white embossing powder.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I played around with the placement of the sentiment words along with those skinny little arms to find just the right placement.

For the inside of the card, I cut out another egg shape from white cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment directly on the egg and then glued it on the right side of the inside of the card.

Doesn't this goofy little guy just make you smile?

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have been inspired to create a egg shaped card of your own.

Happy Easter Build A Bunny

It has been a little bit since I have played along with a Lawn Fawnatics Challenge.  This challenge is All Things Rainbow. It was fun to use the new Build A Critter Spring Accessories with my favorite Build A Bunny.

For the rainbow on this card, I used the Daisy Bloom Background Stencil with Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink.  Phew!  That is a lot of color in a small area!

For my little friends, I decided to just do a couple of bunnies.  I dressed one as the chick and the other an egg.

The sentiment was created with the Scripty Happy and Scripty Easter.

Aside from the the cardstock that I blended my background on, I used Lawn Fawn cardstock in the following colors:

  • Sunflower
  • Pumpkin
  • Tide Pool
  • Peacock
  • Ballet Slippers
  • Licorice
  • Sugarplum
This turned out to be such a fun and colorful Easter card!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you are staying warm and looking forward to a beautiful Spring!

Spore The Love

Today I was able to make a card for the Unity Stamps Tear and Tone Challenge.  I always enjoy jumping in on challenges because it makes me look through my stash and maybe use a technique that I haven't used before or not for a long time.

This card was created with the Spore The Love Stamp and the coordinating paper pack.

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Wild Honey and Vintage Photo.

I did use a few Copic Markers to add a little extra shading to the image.  One of the things I really like about the Unity Stamps stamps is that the stamps have such incredible detail that it does a lot of the work for you.

I just can't wait to see what the next challenge is!

Thanks for stopping by!

I wanted to make a quick card featuring this month's @TrinityStampLLC Anatomically Adorable Toe-tally Awesome Stamp and Die Set before its gone!

For the background on this card, I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink on a little over the top half of a piece of cardstock cut to 5.25" x 4.0".  I watered down some Blueprint Sketch  Ink and spattered the cardstock.

For the sentiment on the top of the card, I used the sentiment that comes with the Toe-tally Awesome Set.  I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Pop on a few Sparkle Spots from your stash and easy peasy.

Easter Basket Add On

Hello!  Today I have a shaker card that I created with three of Trinity Stamps new dies.  I have been thoroughly enjoying all the different ways to used these dies.

To start this card, I cut the cardbase from a piece of double sided patterned paper using the Egg Shaped Card Die Set.  I like using that type of patterned paper because the inside is just as pretty as the outside.

To make the well for the shaker bits, using the Easter Basket Add-on die, I cut both the top and the bottom of the basket eight times.  I prefer to use 110lb white cardstock because I am able to build a deep well quicker.  Once I have my pieces glued together, I glued them to the card base.

I sprinkled some Pool, Bubblegum and Honey Dew Sparkle Spots in the well.  I cut a piece of acetate using the second largest die in the Egg Shape Card Die Set and sealed the shaker spots in by using liquid glue.

I used the dies again to cut the basket out of a dark turquoise cardstock.  I dusted the edges of the basket and handle with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink.  For the piece that is the "inside" of the basket, I made sure to apply enough ink so that it was darker.

For the large sentiment on the front of the card, I decided to use the Happy Easter Egg Add-On die.  I cut the sentiment off the egg frame.  I cut it out of pink and orange cardstock.  I like to create a show on my lettering by offsetting the two letters.

I used the dies from the Easter Basket Add-on to cut out a variety of flowers, leaves from different colors of scrap cardstock.  I also use the die to cut out a bow for the top of the basket.  I glued them at the bottom of the basket and at the top.

For the inside of the card, I cut out another egg from white cardstock.  I used the Simply Sentimental-Easter to stamp the sentiment.

I am pretty please with the way this card turned out.  I love the patterned paper on the inside and the egg shape of the card.  I am linking to my YouTube Video process video if you want follow along.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I am linking to my YouTube Video process video if you want follow along.

Happy Easter Egg Add-On Die Set

Woo Hoo!  It's release day at Trinity Stamps!  Let's get started on those Easter cards!  In the next days, I will be sharing a few cards using a combination of the Egg Shaped Card Die Set along with the Happy Easter Add-on and Easter Basket Add- On.  This card is a combination of those three die sets along with the new Peep Trio and older Peep Show Die Sets.  I have a process video on YouTube if you want to follow along.

The first thing I did for this card was start to construct the well for the shaker bits.  To do this, I used the egg shape from the Happy Easter Add-on and the largest egg shape from the Egg Shaped Card Die Set.  To create the frame to hold the bits, I used mint tape to hold the two die cuts together and then cut the frame out eight times.  I glued all the frames together and set them aside.

I used the largest egg shaped die from the Egg Shaped Card Die Set to cut out the egg that goes in the center of the shaker well.  I centered and glued the pieces on a piece of patterned paper cut to 5.5" x 5.5".  I added some Green Gleam Chunky Shreds and some Dot Dot Hooray Confetti Mix to the well and sealed it up with a piece of acetate cut with the largest egg from the Happy Easter Egg Add-on.

I used the die from the Happy Easter Egg Add-on to cut out the large sentiment on the card.  I used the Outdoor Borders and Scene Builder Slimline Die Set to cut out two pieces of green cardstock with the grass die from the set.  I cut one from a medium green cardstock and one of a lighter green cardstock.  I dusted the edges of the cardstock with a little of Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink.

Using the new Peep Trio Die Set, I cut two bunnies from pink card stock and dusted them with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink. I used the dies from the Peep Show Die Set, to cut out the bunnies from Yellow and Purple cardstock.  I dusted the edges with Mustard See and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink respectively.  The tiny white eggs and the bow at the top of the egg are cut from are the Easter Baske.t Add-on  I arranged the little bunnies and grass at the bottom of the card and the bow at the top of the egg, and glued them on.

I used the Peep Show Stamp Set for the sentiment on the front of the card and cut it out with the Coordinating Dies.

To finish up the front of the card I added some White, Watermelon and Ultramarine Sparkle Spots Confetti Embellishments.

I cut a piece of pink cardstock 5.5" x 11.0", scored it at 5.5".  I folded it at the score line to create my card base.  I used the Simply Sentimental- Easter Stamp Set to stamp the inside sentiment on a piece of white cardstock cut to 5.25" x 5.25".  I glued the stamped cardstock to the inside of the card.

I think this card is darling and I think it would definitely put a smile on someone's face!

Thank you for stopping by today!

#306 Craft Roulette - 5-Star Rating by Trinity Stamps

Hello!  I got a chance today to play along with the current Craft Roulette Challenge #306.  I was tickled by the "chalkboard element".  Now, I am not old enough to remember "blackboards" but I am definitely old enough to remember the chalkboards being green. Not to totally date myself, but I don't even think that whiteboards were even a thing when I was in school.  Yikes - where did the time go?

The parameters for the challenge are:

  • Project - A7 card
  • Element - Chalkboard
  • Colors - Summer Desserts
  • Random - Bottom Border

I don't make A-7 cards very often, so I always am amazed at the amount of room that I have to work with.

The lettering on the chalkboard is heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The stamp set is a new Trinity Stamps Stamp Set called 5-Star Rating. The other parts of the sentiment are heat embossed with black embossing powder.

As far as the "colors" parameter, I always think of Lemon Meringue pie for a summer dessert.  Yum!

To make the border at the bottom of my card, I used the 5-Star Rating Coordinating Die Set to cut out the stars.  To be honest, I totally forgot about the "random" parameter until I was done with the card, so I really lucked out with the die set since it was already on my desk.

I used the Simply Sentimental: Teacher Coordinating Die Set for the sentiment on the front of the card.

For the inside of the card I used the Simply Sentimental: Teacher Stamp Set for the sentiment.

To finish up the card, I used Gold Sparkle Stars to fill in the stars on the rating and to also embellish the card.

I am just tickled with this card.  I may have to stash this card until I have a grandchild that needs one.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Brief Kitten Notes

Hello!  Today I am guest designing for a new release by Gerda Steiner Designs.  These little kitties are just hanging around causing all kinds of mischief.  The stamp set is called, Brief Kitten Notes.

For the background on this card, I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to blend in some clouds using cloud stencil.  I also used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink to lay in just a sliver of grass at the bottom of the card.

To make the clothesline that these little rascals are hanging from, I used two circle dies to cut out a thin circle frame.  I hand drew some stitching lines and then placed and trimmed them where I could hang my little briefs and hearts from them.

I colored my little friends using Copic markers in the following colors:

  • Y00, Y02, Y08, R14, R27, R29 - Boxes
  • BV000, BV11, BV13, BV17 - Lilac Panties
  • R81, R83, R85 - Pink Panties
  • E11, E97, E08, E19 - Brown Kitty
  • C00, C0, C1, C3 - Gray Kitty
  • YR21, YR23, YR24, YR27 - Orange Kitty
  • RV10, RV21, RV13 - Hearts

For the sentiment on the front and the inside of card are from the stamp set.

To finish up my card, I glued some white sparkle spots at the top of the card to add just a little bit of bling.

I think this card is just adorable and I am sure the recipient will think so also.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have an amazing day!

Wash Day

Hello!  I am guest designing for Gerda Steiner Designs today.  These busy kittens are from the new stamp set called Wash Day.  When I first saw this set, I thought that I would turn the washing machine into a little shaker.  It is tiny for sure, but I think it turned really cute.

For the background on this card, I used a 1.75" piece of white woodgrain cardstock dusted up with a little Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink.  I glued the woodgrain cardstock strip to a piece of turquoise cardstock cut to 5.5" x 4.25".  I cut two pieces of coordinating patterned paper on top leaving a border around the outside.

To make the shaker element, I stamped the washing machine on a piece of white cardstock and hand cut it leaving a thin border. I laid the cut out on top of another piece of paper and cut out around it; this will be the base of my shaker.  I used a small circle die, to cut out the the center of the washing machine door.  I used the stamp that has the kitten behind it (bottom left corner) to stamp out the laundry that will be the background for the little shaker pieces.  I glued my "laundry circle" on the shaker background using the stamped image to line it up in the door opening.  I used 2mm foam tape to build the well for the shaker pieces.  I also added foam tape to make sure that the rest of the stamped machine was supported.  I sprinkled in some Transparent Pastel Shaker Pop in the well.  Once I applied a small piece of acetate to the door, I adhered the stamped machine to the background to seal everything up.

I colored my little friends with Copic markers in the following colors:

  • BV11, BV13, BV17 - Purple
  • R81, R83, R85 - Rose
  • Y00, Y02, Y08 - Yellow
  • C00, C0, C1 C3, C5 - Gray
  • YR20, E21, E53 - Basket
  • BG0000, BG000, BG53 - Washing Machine
  • YR21, YR23, YR24, YR27 - Kittens
Once I had my friends colored and cut out, I glued them to the washing machine and then used 2mm foam tape to fill in the gap between them and the background.

I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set for the front of the card.  I stamped it out, trimmed it and the glued it to another piece of patterned paper to frame it out.

To add a little bling, I glued Sparkle Spots, by Trinity Stamps, in Watermelon, Celeste and Blue Sky to the top of the card front.

I think this card turned out adorable.  I love the little shaker element, it just adds a fun extra detail.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that you have a great day!

#305 - Craft Roulette Challenge - Indispensable

Hello!  This is a card that I submitted for the current Craft Roulette Challenge. I love the way this get well card turned out - it is so cheerful not to mention colorful.

This weeks parameters were:

  • Project:  A Joyfold Card
  • Colors:  Cartoon Colors
  • Element: Starts With "I"
To make the Joyfold card, I started with a piece of cardstock cut at 5.5" x 8'5" scored at 4.25" and folded in half.  I cut front of the card diagonally from the top left corner to the bottom right corner.  I cut a piece of patterned paper that was cut at 4.0" x 5.25" diagonally from corner to corner.  I glued on of those diagonal cut pieces on to the diagonal cut of the card front.

I cut another piece of patterned paper to 5.25" x 4.0" and glued it to the inside of the card.

Next I cut a piece of card stock to 3.5" by 8.5".  I scored it at 4.25" and folded it in half.  I glued the piece to the inside of the card making sure that the smaller piece when folded would clear the diagonal fold when shut.  I cut another piece of patterned paper to 3.0" x 4.0" and glued it to the smaller cardstock piece on top.  I cut another piece of white cardstock to the same measurements for the sentiment on the inside of the card.

For the outside of the card, I stamped and colored the little bottles from the Trinity Stamps Indispensable Stamp Set with the following Copic colors:

  • BG0000, BG01, BG45
  • YR12, YR04, YR18
I cut them out using the Indispensable Coordinating Die Set.

I used the sentiment that comes with the stamp set to finish this card.

This really turned out to be a quick card because not only because of the unique Joyfold project, the patterned paper and the images that are so quick to color.

Thank you for stopping by today.
