Hello! Today I have a card that I submitted for Craft Roulette - Episode 281. The parameters were perfect for a stamp that I have been wanting to play with for awhile! The stamp is from Unity Stamps and it is called Leaf It To Love. This little fellow is just so darn cute I just couldn't resist getting him.
The parameters for this week are:
Project: 4" x 6" card.
This was pretty easy, however, I have to say that I have never created a card this size.
Element: From a tree
It would be hard to miss the giant leaf that the mouse is holding.
Colors: Coffee isle
Lots of shades of brown is what I thought of.
Random: Outside the line
I added color outside the lines of the image.
The coloring was done with Copic markers in the following colors:
- YR30, E50, E51, R01, R11 - Mouse
- B91, B21, B34 - Mouse Scarf
- E07, E09, YR16 - Leaf
- YR68, YR07, YR16 - Leaf Heart
- E30, E31, E33 - Ground
- G20 - Outside Shadow Around the Mouse
The one thing that I love about most of Unity Stamps stamps are that they are so quick to color. You can add as much or as little color as you want because the line work in the illustration does a lot of the work.
Once I had my image colored, I use a deckle edge die to cut it out and added a little color to the edges.
I dug through my patterned paper and pulled out some old paper from Authentique. I cut that to size and then added a small strip of coordinating paper to balance out the card. I also added a little twine for texture.
I think this turned out super cute and I was so happy to be able to use a new stamp.
