Light Up Wreath With A Snowman

Hello and happy Sunday!  Today I have a card that I created with the new Tiny Snowman Die and Holiday Wreath Circle Card Add On by Trinity Stamps.  I decided that I would light up this card using the amazing Pearblossom Press EZ-Light Set.

For this card, I cut two of the smaller wreaths from the Holiday Wreath Circle Card Add On out of two different colors of green cardstock.  Using the same die, I also cut some of the greenery included with it from the darker green cardstock.  I also used the die to cut out the bow, berries and ornaments.

I made the little snowman using the Tiny Snowman Die.  I cut this out of different colored cardstock.  When I make these smaller die cuts, I apply double sided adhesive to the back of the cardstock to help me put those little pieces on without having to struggle with gluing them.  I also like to work on a teflon sheet to build them.  Once they are built, they are really easy to move in one piece to the project I am working on.

I used a couple of pieces for patterned paper for my background.  They were cut to 5.5" x 4.25" and 5'25" x 4.0".  I wanted to keep the sentiment very simple so I stamped and heat embossed it using black embossing powder.  I used the Simply Sentimental: Christmas and Simply Sentimental: Merry stamps sets and their coordinating dies.

Once I had my card front made, I used my Pickup Stick Tool to make three holes in my wreath where I wanted my light to shine through.

Using a strong double sided adhesive tape, I adhered the button mechanism to the back of the card under where I had stamped the word "press".  Then I used regular tape to tape the lights over the areas I had poked open.

Next, I used a 2mm think foam tape to lift the card front off the cardbase so that the mechanism would have room to work.

I peeled off the protective tape and applied the card front to my card base.

I used Confetti - Sparkle Spots- White to cover the light opening and give it a little more sparkle.

This is a very simple but super cute card and it was fairly quick to make.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope it is great one!

Sandy
