Christmas Festivi-cheese

 

Hello friends!  Today I have a really cute and punny Christmas card made with a few things from Trinity Stamps' latest release.  Earlier in the year, they came out with a stamp set called Extra Cheese, which on its own is adorable, but now they have the Festivi-cheese Add On for Christmas.  The set not only includes, hats, scarfs, holly and bows, it also has a number of cute Christmas and Hanukkah puns that work so well with the original stamp set.  

I wanted to make this a shaker card so I used the new Holiday Wreath Circle Card Add On.  While the die set cuts out two layers for the wreath, it won't create a center wreath opening to create a shaker.  I stuck the two weath die cuts together with a strong double sided adhesive so I could make an inner opening. 

I used this to cut out 8 layers of cardstock that I glued together to create the well to add my shaker embellishments to.  I also cut one layer of a lighter green cardstock for the inside of the wreath.  Additionally I cut a piece of woodgrain cardstock for the center of the wreath.  This piece will cover up the card base.

I used the Circle-Shaped Card Die Set to cut my card base from red cardstock.  I glued the outside and inside wreath layers on the card base to create my shaker well.  I also glued the lighter green inner wreath piece.  

To cut the acetate that will enclose the shaker embellishments, I used the part of the Circle-Shaped Card Die Set that is the frosting since I didn't have a circle die the right size.  This worked well, you just need to be careful when you glue it on top to make sure there are no gaps.  The embellishments that I used for this card are Shredded Cheddar Sprinkles and Holiday Holographic Metallic Confetti. 

I created a bow for my wreath from cardstock using the die that is included with the Holiday Wreath Circle Card Add On  

I used Copic markers in the following colors for my little cheese chunks and their accessories;

• R14, R24, R29
• YG61, G24
• YR31, Y17, Y38 - Cheese
• YR15, YR07 - Arms & Legs
• E31, E55, E57 - Reindeer Antlers

For the inside of this card, I used the sentiment from the Holiday Gnome Stack.  It is a simple sentiment, which is exactly what I wanted.  

This card is soooooo cute!  I can't wait to send it out this year.
