Froggy Quotes

 

Who doesn't occasionally need a get well card?  Well...this shaker card just might put a smile on someone's face that might be a bit under the weather.  This is inspiration week over at Crafty Stamp Co. and this adorable set is being featured today.

This stamp set is called Froggy Quotes and while there are some great new paper packs, I wanted to ink blend my own.  For this background, I have Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon and Uncharted Mariner.  I also used these colors for the water in the pond. 

I shopped my stash to find just the right bayou type die to set the scene.  With just a little foam tape I was able to create a small "well" for my little shaker pieces. 

All my little friends were colored with Copic markers in the following colors:

• G82, YG63 - Frogs
• YG93, YG95, YG97 -   Lily Pad
• Y23, RV55 - Flowers, Dragon Fly, Butterfly
• Y08, Y13 - Fireflies

The sentiment is included with the stamp set which makes it so easy to complete your card whether it is on the outside or inside of the card.  Mine is stamped on white cardstock and then I took a Copic marker and dragged it along the outside edges just to put the slightest amount of color on it.

This is really a fun stamp set which includes not only the lily pads, but a crown if you want to make one a prince.  How cute!
