Oh my! This poor little fellow has a big crack! I'm glad he is okay though!
This silly card was made with the new Egg Shaped Card Die Set by Trinity Stamps. This has been such a fun and versatile die set. I have used it close to a half a dozen times already.
To make this card, I cut out two of the large egg dies in the set. I dusted the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. I also spritzed the outer shell with the same color of Distress Spritz which gives it a little shimmer. I used the die to cut the outer egg in two pieces. Before you go any further, stamp the sentiment on the upper shell using the Egg-ceptional Sentiments Stamp Set. Once I had my yolk built and placed, I glued the bottom of the outer egg on top.
I punched a little hole where the two shells meet and inserted a small white brad so that my shell moves up and down.
I cut a piece of patterned paper at 4.0" x 5.25" and glued it on a piece of cardstock cut to 5.5" x 4.25". Although it is hard to tell from the picture, I popped up my friend using 1mm tape just to give it a tiny bit of dimension.
For the inside of the card, I used the Egg-ceptional Sentiments Stamp Set again.
To finish up the card, I glued it to an A-2 card base and added a few Sparkle Spots to the corners to add some bling.
This was a pretty quick card to make and would be perfect for one of the littles in your life.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing Spring!
Sandy
