Halloween Postage Pals - Craft Roulette #288

Hi guys!  I am just sliding in before the deadline to submit this card for the current Craft Roulette Challenge #288.  I have been struggling all week to get it done.  I like to sit down and just do a card, but this one was; a little here and a little there.

This episodes parameters were:

Project: Celebration Card - Is there any celebration better than Halloween?  I think not!

Colors: On The Ground - The ground of my craft room is very colorful

Element: Goes Well Together - Children + Costumes + Halloween  PERFECT!

Random: Blocks - Postage Stamp Collage

For this card I used the Halloween Postage Pals: Landscape by Sweet November.

The die I used is the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die in the A2 size.  Once I got started, I wished that I had the A7 Postage Collage Die to give me a little more room but I didn't.  It's on order now along with the coordinating stencil.

I colored all my little buddies with Copic markers in the following colors:

  • R24, R27, R39 - Reds
  • E000, E00, E21 - Skin
  • YG03, YG67, G28 - Zombie Skin
  • YG21, YG03, YG25 - Bride of Frankenstein Skin
  • C1, C3, C6 - Grays
  • E42, E43, E44 - Werewolf Ears/Nose
  • R20, R21
  • Y15, YR23, Y28 - Yellows
  • B21, B23, B24 - Blues
  • E31, E35, E37 - Brown Hair
  • V05, V06, V09 - Purples
Once I colored them, I masked them off using Gina K Masking Magic.  This is my favorite masking product.  I like it a lot better than Post It Tape.  I have found that the Post It Tape smears and can get on your projects.

I ink blended the individual stamps with Distress Oxide Inks in Tumble Glass, Salty Ocean, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion.

To finish my card, I mounted the postage collage on two layers of cardstock.  I popped us a few die cut bats and stars to add a little dimension to the card.  I didn't put a sentiment on the front of my card because it would cover up some of my friends, which is another reason why I needed the A7 die,  I can rationalize any cardmaking supply.

I love this card and I can't wait to make another one using the Sweet November Halloween Postage Pals from the Landscape set.  They are all so adorable.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful fall season.

Sandy
