Sweet Spooky Wishes

Hello again and happy STAMPtember!  Today I have another card that was a Trinity Stamps - Simon Says Stamp collaboration.  My little Gnome friends on this card are from the set called Ice Cream Gnomes.  I am still in 100% Halloween cardmaking mode, so I made these guys to be more like a cupcake with a wizard on top.  To make it a wee bit more Halloweenie, I put them on a pumpkin card.  So cute!

To start, I used the Pumpkin Shaped Card Die Set to cut my card base from black cardstock.. After cutting the pumpkin shape out of orange cardstock, I used Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide Ink to dust the edges and add some dimension to it.  I cut the stem from green cardstock and dusted those edges with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink.

My little friends are colored with Copic Markers in the following colors:

  • YG01, YG05, YG07
  • B21, B32, B06
  • Y15, YR16
  • V01, V05, V06
  • RV02, RV06, RV09
  • E00, E93

I cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I glued the two outside gnomes to the outside edges and popped up the center on on foam dots.

For the sentiment I used the new Simply Sentimental: Sweet Coordinating Die Set  for the word "Sweet".  The rest of the sentiment is from the Simply Sentimental: Halloween Stamp Set.  I also popped tha up with some foam dots.

Because the inside of my card has black cardstock and I didn't want to use white ink or embossing powder, I cut another card from white cardstock, and glued the front of the card to the inside giving me a white surface to stamp a sentiment on.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful fall.

Sandy
