Hello! Halloween is definitely my jam. This card was created with a few Trinity Stamps dies and of course one of their adorable Halloween Gnomes.
To create the shaker element of this card, I used the Half Pint Jar Stamp and Coordinating Die Set. I stamped the jar image on a piece of cardstock and I used the die from the set to cut out the solid jar shape. I use this shape to create a mask to color the jar using my Copic Marker Airbrush system. I drew a pencil line on the jar where I wanted the jam to be in the jar and where I wanted the jar to be empty. I used B00 to color the top of the jar and I used YG06 and YG07 to color the jam in the jar.
Once I had it colored, I used the coordinating die that cuts the inside opening to cut my jar.
I cut a solid jar from black cardstock and then glued 8 cardstock pieces on top to create my well. I will also glue the inside of the jar that I colored.
I wanted to have some spooky elements in my jar, so I used the dies from the Scream & Sugar Mug Add On and the Pumpkin Candy Bucket Die Set. I placed them in the jar trimming the pieces as necessary and glued them down well so that the shaker elements won't get stuck on or behind the edges. I sprinkled in my little elements and then sealed it with a piece of acetate cut using the solid jar die. I carefully glued the stamped jar on to making sure not to get glue on the window opening because that is really hard to clean off.
To add another fun element to my card, I cut some bats out of black cardstock and glued them to thin strips of acetate. I used my craft knife to cut openings between the "well" layers and then glued the bat strips in the openings. The bats were cut using the dies from the Oh So Spooky Gnomes die Set.
