Hello and happy Monday. As a mom of two boys, I always found it a little more difficult to find them Valentine's Day cards. Even though they are now grown up, I still reflect on those childhood days. I haven't had a chance to play with the Gnome On The Range stamp and die set from Trinity Stamps. Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I decided to make a fun little Valentines.
The background of this card I used Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink on white cardstock using their Cow Print Background Stencil. I did speckle it a little bit with some watered down ink.
For the star opening, I used Lawn Fawn's Outside In Stitched Star and Stitched Star Frames respectively.
The Gnome is colored with Copic markers in the following colors:
- RV10, RV13, RV21 - Pinks
- YR30, E31, E50 - Hat
- R14, R27 - Reds
- R00, R30 – Gnome Face
- E42, E43 – Horse’s Mane
- E15, E17, E39, E29 – Rocking Horse
- N1 - Beard
- Y06, Y08, Y19 - Yellows
Most of the sentiment is from the stamp set, however, the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment is from the Simply Sentimental: Happy stamp collection. I heat embossed the sentiments with gold embossing powder.
This would be a really cute Birthday card just using the sentiments included with the card.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
Sandy
